St Luke's Broomhill Vintage Shop dresses Sheffield in style for a good cause

Charity shopping does not get much more stylish than this. St Luke's, Sheffield's hospice, runs a network of shops across the city, and its Broomhill Vintage Shop is a favourite with anyone who loves classic clothes, retro homeware and a good bargain.
Our Favourite Places calls the Broomhill shop the very best of the chain's outlets, explaining that the cream of the vintage crop arrives here and is carefully categorised to make rummaging less overwhelming. It has the style and finesse of the finest vintage stores but with charity shop prices, and the guide highlights classic cuts and vintage Jaeger at around £10.
Alongside the clothes, shoppers can browse a nostalgic range of crockery, homeware and books, and the guide recommends a visit around Christmas for snuggly knits and a dream selection of glitzy retro baubles.
Every purchase makes a difference. St Luke's looks after anyone affected by a terminal illness across Sheffield, at any stage of their journey, along with their loved ones, caring for people aged 18 and over with serious, progressive illnesses that cannot be cured. In 2026 the hospice is marking 55 years of care.
The shop is a dedicated vintage store, so it only accepts vintage donations, which helps keep the rails so well curated. General donations can go to the nearest general St Luke's shops on Ecclesall Road and in Crookes, and the charity asks that items are clean, safe and in a saleable condition so that teams can sell them quickly.
For those who prefer to shop from home, St Luke's also sells online through eBay and Vinted, listing everything from designer clothing and vintage finds to homeware and electricals, with hundreds of listings updated every week.
The Broomhill Vintage Shop is at 218 Fulwood Road and is open from 10am every day. Details of all the St Luke's shops, and other ways to support the hospice, are on the St Luke's website.
