Scullion & Scot: the Nether Edge salon crowned UK colour champions again

In Nether Edge, a Sheffield salon has been quietly building a national reputation for colour, and this summer the whole industry took notice. Scullion & Scot, at 6A Sheldon Road, took home a triple victory at the 70th anniversary UK L'Oréal Colour Trophy Grand Final.

The landmark final was held at London's O2 Arena and hosted by Amanda Holden, bringing together the grand finalists from eight regional semi-final heats across the country. The flagship Overall Winner trophy was lifted by Lewis Inkles and Jessica Elwell of Scullion & Scot, who also claimed the North Eastern regional title. Team member Millie Grierson completed the clean sweep by winning the Star Award.

It is not the first time the salon has reached the top. Scullion & Scot describes itself as L'Oréal Colour Trophy overall UK winners in both 2023 and 2026, a remarkable achievement in a competition that was first launched in 1954 and is one of the industry's longest-running and most prestigious.

Sheffield had more to celebrate on the night, too. Lauren Fox of Willow Fox Hairdressing in the city won the Social Colour Creator Award, a sign of just how much talent there is in the city's salons.
