Fixation Skincare: the Millhouses clinic that grew from a mobile business

Tucked away on Abbeydale Road in Millhouses, Fixation Skincare and Laser Clinic has built a loyal following by keeping things refreshingly down to earth. Its promise is simple: to help clients feel confident in their skin, with honest advice rather than the latest fad.
Fixation was founded by Izzy Gannon in 2018 with a vision of a clinic focused on long-term skin health and results-driven treatments, making a luxury experience feel accessible and affordable. What started as a small mobile business has since grown into a skin and laser clinic with a team of skin, laser and aesthetics professionals. In 2022 Clare came on board to help take the business into its next stage of growth.
The awards have followed. The clinic lists wins at the National Beauty Awards and The Beauty and Skincare Awards in 2024, and says it was ranked 12th in the UK at the UK Hair and Beauty Awards.
The clinic describes its approach as "No trends, no one-size-fits-all approach". Clients can start with a consultation, using the clinic's OBSERV skin analysis technology where appropriate, and the team builds a plan from there. Sometimes that means a course of treatments, and sometimes it simply means changing what you use at home, or doing less. The menu runs from express facials, dermaplaning and microneedling to chemical peels, laser hair removal and aesthetic treatments, alongside professional skincare to take home.
One of its most thoughtful services is the oncology facial, designed for anyone undergoing cancer treatment, in recovery or with a previous diagnosis. The team has completed certified training with Jennifer Young, founder of Beauty Despite Cancer, and the 45-minute facials use products free from essential oils, synthetic fragrance and other common irritants. One client wrote that she "left feeling emotionally and physically lifted". The clinic also offers pregnancy-safe and teen facials, as well as bridal skincare.
Clients clearly value the personal touch. In a recent post shared online, the clinic said it was rated 5 out of 5 across 103 reviews, with clients talking about feeling at ease and being guided honestly rather than upsold.
As the clinic puts it, looking after your skin "should feel like something you enjoy, not something that feels clinical, complicated or out of reach."
